1) Take Shorter Showers

It might not be easy at first, but we waste and pollute water by taking excessively long and frequent showers.

2) Start A Compost Bin

If you ask me why composting is important, you might want to make sure you have a minute! Composting nourishes the earth with all of our vegetable scraps or waste and creates a healthier alternative to artificial fertilizer.

3) Consider Becoming Vegetarian Or Vegan

Most people don't realize it, but the meat industry pollutes ENORMOUSLY! In addition to pollution, it has the highest rate of worker accidents in the U.S and doesn't always guarantee fair and humane conditions for the animals.

4) Reduce, Reuse And Recycle

The production of paper and plastic is ridiculously wasteful yet crucial to our modern day lives. If we could all reduce production rates, this could actually make a difference.

5) Pick Up Trash In Your Community

Picking up litter in the area can actually make your community a happier and more eco-friendly place.

6) Only Buy And Support Organic And Non-GMO Produce

Pesticides and Herbicides are destroying the eco-system and environment. As an Earth Defender, I cannot support Monsanto or other Non-Organic food systems.

7) Plant Trees And Flowers In Vacant Land

Trees and plants provide us with Oxygen and eliminate Co2 (Carbon) levels in the air.

8) Buy Or Claim A Threatened Parcel Of Land

By claiming or purchasing these lands, you permanently protect them and own them for as long as you wish.

9) Use And Buy Clothes That Are Made Of Organic Materials

By using synthetic materials, you aren't contributing to creating greener industries, remember that no action is too small!

10) Most, Importantly And Obviously, Volunteer

Of course we would suggest you volunteer. This website is about volunteering so, get out there and become an Earth Defender Volunteer!
